he manages to escape with the help of Arpid. Frustrated with this news the emperor decides to then burry him up to his neck in the sand for fire ants eat his head and Mathayus is unable to kill himself. The Emperor would love to do nothing more than to kill Mathayus, but the sorceress tells the emperor that their gods favour Mathayus and if he chooses to kill him, the emperor will make them angry. Then he is caught by the guards and Jesup and Rama are murdered. The Mathayus eventually sneaks his way into Memnon’s camp and eventually finds the sorcerer’s tent and to his surpise he discovers the sorcerer is a beautiful sorceress named Cassandra hu (played by Kelly Hu). The reason why they are hired to kill the sorcerer is because the sorcerer has prophetic powers that allows the extremely vicious Egyptian Emperor Memon (played by Steven Brand) to rule his empire with hate and cruelty.
The Scorpion King story begins as Mathayus (played by Dywane “The Rock” Johnson) is hired by the king to kill a sorcerer and his half-brother Jesup (played by Branscombe Richmond) and their friend Rama (played by Esteban Cueto).
